…I do it all and am one of Dallas Fort Worth leading Body Sugaring and waxing professionals.
If you are you ready for sweetly soft, smooth, hair free skin, I can take care of that for you. I have attended a series of hair removal seminars, a full-body and Brazilian bootcamp and have been educated by a few of the top professionals in the country. I primarily use sugar paste and perform Body Sugaring Hair Removal. When I wax areas of the body such as full leg waxing or back waxing, I use Alaska Ocean Wax, a high quality wax. If you prefer wax over sugar for the face, I use Caron sensitive wax. Watch a demonstration of Sugaring Hair Removal here! Ladies receive a complimentary glitter “Vattoo” with their first Brazilian. Good News!! Depilar is now available. The Depilar System™ uses the latest in advanced scientific research to offer an effective and affordable method for reduction of unwanted body hair for both men and women and all ethnicities, hair colors, and hair types.
How does Depilar work? The Depilar System™ is an enhanced enzyme-based formula containing proteins Trypsin and Chymotrypsin. By waxing or sugaring before applying the Depilar System™, hair follicles are left open and empty. When The Depilar System reaches the hair producing cells at the bottom of the open follicles, the cells are broken down, effectively preventing further hair growth and ridding the body of unwanted hair. Successive and regular Depilar System™ treatments are required over 16 to 24 months to completely treat all targeted hair through a complete 1-2 year hair growth cycle. Rates for adding the Depilar System after waxing or sugaring will vary depending on body part.
Common concerns about Hair Removal, Waxing and Sugaring
- Does waxing or body sugaring hurt?
Hair removal is uncomfortable. We are removing hair from the root. It will only last for a few seconds and it will be less uncomfortable with subsequent visits. Each visit becomes easier as the hair grows back thinner. The experience is not as bad as you anticipate and the end result is superior.
- But I’ve seen the movie “The 40 Year Old Virgin” and Steve Carell definitely looked like he was in pain…
Ah, yes…the point of reference for many. If anything could ever go wrong during a waxing procedure, it happened during this scene. I promise, professional waxing is absolutely NOTHING like this.
- Why do men get waxed?
Some men get waxed for their wives, girlfriends or partners, and as much of a treat it is, most men do it for themselves. Mostly, because they loathe the hair. In warm, humid climates, body hair makes for hygiene issues…well, in any climate really. Men get tired of shaving every other day and are frustrated with the razor burn and ingrown hairs from doing so. Men also benefit from waxing and body sugaring if they are athletic and compete in sporting events. Body hair will create a drag for athletes.
- I don’t understand why someone would get a Brazilian wax, why would they want to “LOOK” like that?
It is not a “LOOK” thing, it is a “FEEL” thing. It is much cleaner. “But my boyfriend/husband doesn’t want me to look like a ‘young girl’”, well hopefully this isn’t his only parameter and is he really staring at it all the time? Besides, you can leave a landing strip.
- I’ve had a Brazilian wax before and it traumatized me, I’m not sure I could go through it again…
Where did you have your Brazilian service? Was it in the back of a nail salon? Was the wax your technician used of good quality? Did your technician have extensive training with Brazilians. Please read “How to locate a Professional Hair Removal Technician”.
More About the History of Hair Removal
Men and Women have been burdened with unwanted hair since early civilization. Japanese Geishas would remove their hair by a method similar to “threading”, they wrapped thread around their hair and pulled it out. During the Renaissance era, shaving and tweezing of the eyebrows and hairline to show a greater portion of the forehead, was thought to make women appear more intelligent. Egyptian tombs showed evidence that abrasive material such as pumice stones were used to rub away hair. Native Americans used sharpened stones and seashells while ancient Turks used chemical methods like arsenic.
There are number of hair removal methods available to meet the varying needs of men and women troubled with unwanted hair. Electrolysis and Laser hair removal can be expensive and the procedure must be performed several times. Electrolysis removes hair by electricity and is considered the only true method of permanent hair removal while Lasers simply reduce hair growth. Shaving may be inexpensive but it is time consuming and the hair grows back in a matter of days.
For those seeking longer term and a more moderately priced method of hair removal, waxing and body sugaring are excellent options.
Hair removal through waxing and body sugaring helps reduce your hair growth over time and actually makes the hair softer and thinner for a longer period of time. We use the finest Italian wax which is 100% natural. It is extremely gentle, greatly reducing incidences of ingrown hair. If you have super sensitive skin, prone to ingrown hairs or have hair that has a tendency to grow in multiple directions, we highly recommend body sugaring.
